Code of Sustainable Business Practice

Organizations who make application to become SIS Industry Partners are asked to observe the following Code of Sustainable Business Practice:

1. Act at all times with fairness, courtesy and good faith and to uphold the values of truth, honesty and trustworthiness.
2. Provide products and services with proper regard for safety, health and welfare of workers and the public; and for the protection of the environment;
3. Perform their services in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and policies of local, provincial and federal jurisdictions;
4. Help to extend public understanding of the principles and practice of sustainable infrastructure, and its place in society;
5. Undertake only such work as they are competent to perform by virtue of their experience and training;
6. Keep informed of changes in technology and regulations, strive to advance the body of knowledge within which they practice and provide opportunities for the continuing development of their employees.
